This project has been implemented jointly by the Association of Beekeepers of Orkhon soum Darkhan-Uul province, NGO and Erdene zugii? CBO. In the past, this area has been one of the main bee keeping places at the country level. The region has now been recovering from economic difficulties and crisis faced by the entire country during the transition into a market economy in 1990s. The grant has assisted local bee keeping communities to build capacity and increase their bee products and improve the packaging of bee honey. There has also been built a community garden to educate, train and support bee keepers in planting and growing bee/honey plants.
