FSM: Awak River and Piggery Clean-up Project
This project aims to reduce the E.coli level of the Awak river/stream to/or under the accepted recreational level of <576 mpn/100ml. The Awak Youth Organization proposes to work with the village leaders and pig farmers/owners to convert all (approximately 26 pens) pigpens in Awak to the dry-litter system to prevent pig waste/contaminants from entering the river/stream.
