The long-term of the project as being named is to get model of co-management of protection forest for conservation between dependent communities and forest managed local government designed and put into tested in order to reach sustainable forest protection, biodiversity protection and create likelihood for community absorbed to contribute to relative policies particularly REDD+ at national level. In order to ensure the project running feasibly with objectives targeted and achieved, the planning grant is proposed to make a baseline survey collecting such necessary information including factors of society, environment, economy, market, technique in the area chosen Thanh Ky commune, Nhu Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province. The assessment is conducted with the participation of stakeholders including community, small village's authority, relative agencies and Thanh Ky protection forest's management board. The assesment also aims to raise awareness for local government, community on the functions of natural forest toward sustainable likelihood as well as reduction of climate change's impact and important role of community in managing forest for reaching appropriate forest policy.Main activites of planning grant include (i) Set up assessment tool kit (ii) Field assessment, evaluation and data collection (iii) Data processing and report writing (iv) Develop project logical framework (v) Get advice from technical personel to ti edit framework (vi) Writing project proposal, budgeting (vii) Translating document into English.
