Reduce the harmful pesticide for Land Improvement
Lack of information, most of the farmers from Nepal are using harmful pesticide in their field. Mancojeb (DM 45, Indofil M 45), Metalexyl, krinoxyl gold, Nuvan, chloropyriphos, thyodane (Endosulfan) rogar, furaden, and other harmful pesticide are being used in the field. In Somadi, farmers use 8400 kg Uria,1800 kg DAP and 300 kg Potaswhere as farmers of Mujhung use 6400 kg Uria 3500 DAP and 1200 kg Potas. In this way, farmers are using chemical fertilizer in their field destroying not only their soil productivity but also posing serious health consequences both to the farmers and consumers. Therefore, this project tries to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides through awareness campaign and increase their economic status through organic commercial farming of vegetable and mushroom.
