The aim of the planning grant is to collect necessary information, data through conducting assesment on the chosen field/area and consultation meeting/workshop in pursuit of completing project proposal " Buidling a cultivation model of huong Bai and training of incense-stick making for Thai minority people at Chau Cuong commune, Quy Hop district, Nghe An". Detail activities include (i) Assessments on land use (forestry land, agriculture land) in Chau Cuong commune and on 3-4 Huong Bai models built successfully in some localities; assessment on market of incense-stick small business. The result of the assessments is to determine the project areas to implement including 3 villages Ta, Khi, Nha villages of Chau Cuong communes, determine the number of households participating in the huong Bai model, realize the findings of cultivation technique of the community for lesson learnts, the number of households commited to make incense-stick selected (iii) 3 workshops, meetings with local authorities at all levels from villages to provincial level are organized to get opinions/viewpoint on agreement with development of the project as well as mobilizing resources from the locality into the project (iii) Synthesizing and processing data for developing fully project proposal.
