Taniasu School Traditional barriers to protection of school and community
Taniasu School Traditional barriers to protection of school and community
The project is intended to mobilize resources to establish a tradition barrier protection for the coastline of Taniasu Primary School and community. The erosion of coastal sea front of Taniasu School is part of the aggregate coastal erosion of the whole of Tanibili Village. Therefore, coastal protection at Taniasu school will assist in protecting the coastal fronts of adjacent communities. This will help to protect the running water pipelines along the coastal areas from strong waves sweeping through and fruit trees growing at the coastal areas which are important for people?s livelihood. The Planning grant was given for the grantee to undertake baseline studies before final proposal be submitted. Mangroves will also be planted as part of protecting the coastline and destruction of the infrastructure of the school and that of the community. V&R will be established to confirm the dire need of such infrastructure.
