Every year on streets of Almaty people sell wild spring flowers, among which one can find those listed in Red Book of Kazakhstan. Main territory of their growth is Ili-Alatau National Park. Mostly people who sell or buy flowers do not know that kind of flowers they are dealing with and what damage do they cause to nature.
Aim of the project is to conserve wild spring flowers and their habitat on the territory of Ili-Alatau National park and around Almaty city though awareness raising among local population and work with direction of the park.
Project tasks include popularization of environmental information through conducting creative contests, master-class, involving students to work on conserving wild spring flowers and their habitat. Awareness rising about value of the wild spring flowers listed in Red Book and about the need to conserve their habitat.
