Development of recommendations to protect the amphibian species enlisted in the Red Book of Kazakhstan within the hunting farms of the western part of Dzhungar Alatau
In Soviet times American mink were breaded on closed farms for fur production, but there were escapes of animals. Due to the specie was introduced it has no natural enemies and have spread along small rivers, becoming invasive. It?s main food is fish and species habitat nearby water. Among those species can be red listed Ranodon sibirius and Bufo danatensis, who dwell on territory of Dzhungar Alatau.
Project aim is record numbers of American mink (Neovison vison) population as it?s an invasive species and develop recommendations on its regulation for minimization of the damage on population of Central Asian salamander (Ranodon sibirius) and
(Bufo danatensis) listed in Red Book and inhabitant on territory of Dzhungar Alatau.
