Diversifying Livelihood Options for Sustainable Environment Protection through Sale of Traditional Handcrafts in SMNP
The project aims to diversify alternative livelihood options for the community through demonstration/opening of souvenir shop to sell locally produced handicrafts and promoting sustainable environmental protection practices through promoting alternative livelihood options that contribute to sustainable environmental protection practices, promoting local handicraft production and reduced tourist disturbance, contributing to conservation efforts of the Semien Mountain National Park by decreasing dependency of communities on park natural resources.
