Reducing Land Degradation to Increasing Community Livelihood Based on Conservation
GOAL
By 2016, critical land will turn into productive land that has economic value and improve the welfare of society in Mutisari Village
OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Developing conservation demonstration project to improve the local economy through acacia decurrens trees and Dutch Eggplants
Indikator : 1. The existence of an area of 10 ha as a demonstration project area
2. Availability of 8,000 Albasia trees and seedlings of 5,000 Ducth Eggplant
3. Establishment of 10 ha area for rain water catchment
Activities : 1. Participatory planning to determine the need and time schedule for this project
2. Making a purchase of Albasia tree seedlings and Ducth eggplant
3. Land management for 10 ha by workers and landowners independently
4. Preparation of planting as many as 13,000 holes to be performed by the land owners and managers to facilitate the process of planting
5. Procurement of plant seeds and sticks of wood as a standard for perennials plants in order of conservation
6. Planting of 13000 Dutch Eggplant and Albasia tress done by land owners and managers.
7. Installation of sticks of wood (ajir) in the new plant. It is intended that plant growth is not disturbed by the wind.
8. Organic fertilizer procurement conducted by the board and this activity will involve the farmers who produce fertilizer
9. Fertilization with organic fertilizers to accelerate the growth of existing plants
10. Carry out land management by land owners and overseen by the local government
11. Making information boards to explain the position of the demonstration plot in a transparent manner to the public
Objective 2 : Improving the quality of public participation in the activity reducing land degradation and improvement of the economic condition of the communities
Indikator : 1. Ten people can manage programs and administrative processes
2. Ten people can develop business management group
3. Thirty (30) women understand the issue of environmental conservation
4. Thirty (30) members of the group understand animal health education
5. Thirty (30) members of the group participating in learning to cattle farming
Activities : 1. Conducting training for programme management
2. Conducting training for business development
3. Conducting training for women and conservation management
4. Conducting training for health education livestock
5. Conducting field visit to cattle farming
6. Developing communcal cages
7. Planting grass
8. Cattle procurement
EXPECTED OUTPUT
1. The existence of a group that will manage the pilot project of economic-based conservation activities and approved by the Decree of the Head of the village.
2. There are rules in the use of water resources for irrigation
3. The formation of a business entity belonging to the group that will be tasked to manage the dairy farms that are economically beneficial for members

Project sustainability
1. Farmers will always keep / take care of semuatanaman wood. Dilahan already planted hers and will float dilahan are not funded through the program to buy seeds independently 2. Capital savings and loans that have been granted to savings and loans will continue in kembangkankan through financial business unit in the form of savings and loans unit of conservation. 3. Support cattle as part of improving people's income those through the livestock sector will continue to be developed as a part of their poverty reduction and reduce land degradation in the village mutisari.
Replication of project activities
1. Replication tree planting will be done by each member to growers during the rainy season arrives in the land that has not been helped by the seed program. 2. Farmers will continue to develop farms independently as a basis of economic income families that do not rely on mere sektorpertanian to buy cattle for capable or menggaduh for which has not been able to buy. 3. Farmers groups will always do kebut manufacture of wood and fruit seedlings to expand efforts to reduce land degradation.
