Empowering Vulnerable Women and Conserving the Natural Forest through Livelihood Diversification
The project aims to economically empower Debark town women wood collectors through livelihood diversification which can ultimately help to conserve the natural forest in and around Semien Mountain National Park through diversifying income sources for 120 women 10 men wood collectors in Debark town, enhancing women?s participation in natural resources conservation by 5% from zero ? which is the current participation, reducing women sexual and other harassments for 120 women that women face during wood collection, and creating job opportunities for 120 women and 10 male beneficiaries and their families.
