Biodiversity conservation in the village Akhateli
the main aim of the project is sustainable land management in village Akhateli situated close to river Alazani, which during the flood damages local farms and local biodiversity. 500 sq.m of land will be cleaned and acacia seedlings be planted, thus 50 ha of land will be maintained and protected during the floods. Plus close to acacia plantation bee farm will be established, which will contribute locals livelihood and involvement in bee keeping activities.

Gender Focus
8 women will be involved in project activities together with men. They will clean territories, prepare and plant saplings, participate in project benefits, etc.
Notable Community Participation
Board members of non-profit (non-commercial) legal entity ?Sakobiano XXI will actively be involved in project implementation together with rural beneficiaries. They
will participate in the project activities and will contribute with their own vehicles, special equipment and other inventory. They will also actively be involved in project evaluation and monitoring. Functions and responsibilities are equally distributed among the beneficiaries. The local students and young people will also participate in the project. An event ?Take Care of Nature will be organized when they will plant saplings and clean territories. After the completion of the project they will continue taking care of the bee farm and acacia plantations.
