Lalistu Arjo Forest conservation Environmental Protection of small scale micro enterprise
The project aims to enhance rehabilitation of the degraded land in lake Langano watershade by area closure through capacitating our CBO members and enhance awareness on environment protection to the community living around & within the catchment area; carrying out physical and biological soil and water conservation/management practices to reduce land degradation in 10.5 hectares of land; promoting alternative livelihood opportunities to reduce the vulnerability of 100 CBO members; minimizing degradation of 10.5 hectares of land in Gubeta Arjo kebele by making soil and water conservation work on 10.5 hectares of land; planting 6,000 acacia saligna tree and grass species; and improving the livelihood of 100 members by 35% in year one and 65% in year two by creating income generating activities from beef fattening and bee keeping.
