Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
2 days curriculum workshop will be organized at Raichur for 2 field coordinators, 8 field officers, 10 lead farmers and 4 WCS project personnel. 3 days pre-season orientation workshop will be conducted for field facilitators and lead farmers. Farmer Field School (FFS) approach will be adopted for the overall implementation of the project. Right farmers will be selected for project implementation. They will be involved in day to day operation to maintain proper functioning of the project. Farmers will be motivated to make continuous improvement through group learning, sharing, planning etc. Farmers will be motivated to produce better cotton and increase profitability through improved productivity, fibre quality etc. and not through paying premium. The project plans to set up installing 35 house hold bio gas plants during the project period which will help the farmers produce 99 MT of utilizable methane gas for cooking purpose.
