Children's involvement and participation in Climate smart Agriculture, Water Harvesting Technology and Renewable Energy
This project being implemented by a church which operates a preschool and primary school for low income persons seeks to reach out to the communities served by the church. The involvement of children and their families in climate smart agriculture is to demonstrate local technologies that are able to adapt to the effects of climate change now impacting the island.
Ways to save and store water for the garden and the residents of the area who have no storage facilities will be included in this project and a cistern will be built to show adaption to the drought conditions existing in the island. The project will also include a renewable energy component on the facility to demonstrate the use of solar energy, This property on site will be renovated into a training center and store room for the project participants.
