Project Characteristics and Results
Notable Community Participation
As a result of a cultural and historical public aversion to this poisonous species and the bounty on its head, the grantee has decided to minimize the level of community participation until the species conservation plan is prepared and approved. It is expected that during the next phase of the project there will be a significant increase in community participation.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Considered not strategic at this time because of the historical aversion to the species.
