Project is aimed to introduce and promote energy-efficient street lighting. It will lead to decrease of electricity usage and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions released into the atmosphere by nuclear generating plant. Electricity consumption will decrease on 80 % due to the energy-efficient lamps and it is commonly known that energy-efficiency is an essential part of sustainable development. Within the project it is planned to increase public awareness on climate change and energy-efficiency. To achieve this purpose, public consultations will be conducted; information materials on technical and theoretical aspects of climate change mitigation will be printed and distributed.
