Conservation of dendrological park 'Kara-Oi' in Issyk-Kul oblast through introduction of drop irrigation and creation of nursery of endemic species.
1. Local project management committee (PMC) was established.
2. Survey (inventory of the irrigation system of park with involvement of experts) was completed.
3. A nursery of endemic species of trees in the territory of 1,5 ha was created.
4. Two greenhouses for growing sea-buckthorn bushes and for vegetables were constructed. Method on growing sea buckthorn busheds from cuttings were approbated on the base of Ak-suu greenhouse.
5. Drip irrigation system was installed near the greenhouses and at the nursery of endemic species of trees.
6. Mist-making humidifiers were purchased and installed in the green house for growing of the sea buckthorn bushes.
7. Interactive exhibition about Issyk-Kul trees was created in the museum of ?Issyk-Kul biosphere territory?, located in Balykchy cilty.
8. Workshops for schoolchildren and teachers were organized.
9. Cleaning of the the water hole #1 in the park by geominvod company was organized in order to improve park?s irrigation capacity.
10. Eco-route and stand exhibition in the park were developed to support its eco-tourism activities.
11. Elemens of eco-tourism infrastructure; such as wooden benches, tables, information boards, etc. were designed and installed.
12. Map of the park (at the entrance) has been prepared.
13. Project publications and video were designed and issued.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Exhibition on biodiversity of Issyk-Kul (forests) was organized in the museum of Balykchy town. 10 minute video clip about arboretum Kara Oi was developed.
