De-bushing of invader bush Acacia Merrifella in Otjinene
This is a de-bushing project that will take place in Otjinene Settlement near Gobabis in the Omaheke region. The project seeks to de-bush an invader bush "Acacia Merrifella that is preventing grass to grow for cattle.
The community intend to use the de-bushed area for community gardens and to re-introduce natural indigenous plants such as the Devil's Claw. The harvested bushes will be use for fire wood, charcoal and droppers for income generation in order to improve the livelihoods of the community.
