This project recognizes the low levels of awareness about climate change and other environmental issues in our communities including the lack of proper waste management practices by individuals in our society. At the root of these problems are high levels of ignorance to the negative effects that irresponsible human behavior can have on the environment.
These practices have contributed to blockage of drains and natural waterways and results in floods. With the changes in local weather patterns, as a result of climate change, erratic rainfalls have become normal. These factors combined to cause increase flooding, land slippage and millions of dollars in infrastructural damage during heavy rains. Additionally, the indiscriminate use of forest areas for farming and other activities results in the pollution and blockage of rivers and streams.

The goal of this project is to attain heightened public awareness, discussions and meaningful community action surrounding climate adaptation and related environmental issues. With an outcome that reflects a measurable change in public behavior and attitude towards climate compliance issues.

Project strategies as follows:
1. To use music as a medium to raise awareness about climate change and other environmental issues. This will include the following actions:
a. To promote climate change adaptation strategies through after school music clubs, community /school interlink programmes. This will be a collaborative effort with the Richmond Vale Academy.
b. To promote climate change adaptation through monthly full moon music and drum circles.
c. To promote climate change adaptation through audio, print and music video communication media.
d. To promote climate change adaptation through a Climate Change Adaption awareness theme song competition.
e. To promote climate change adaptation through music and creative arts festival.

2. Training fifteen (15) elite drummers nationally to be green activists in their communities.
3. To be resource personnel in schools and community programmes highlighting environmental issues, this will also be done in collaboration with the Richmond Vale Academy and the Ministry of Health and the Environment.
4. To engage the community through music / Edutainment workshops and seminars to work towards climate change adaptation.
5. To promote climate change adaptation through environmental cleanup.
6. Target areas that were critically affected by the floods of December 24th 2013, collaborating with NEMO and other agencies.

The beneficiaries of this project will be persons in three vulnerable communities critically affected by the floods of December 24th 2013 ? North and South Leeward (Vermont, Spring Village, Chateaubelair, Rose Bank) and North Windward (Spring Village, Georgetown, South Rivers, Sandy Bay and Fancy) about the hazards associated with indiscriminate forest and waste management practices.
We will educate these vulnerable communities by creating a heightened awareness of climate change adaption issues, musicians and cultural practitioners through exposure to the various communities,
