- A central tree nursery established in Kerr Ardo village and 20, 181 were raised seedlings for planting in the 10 project communities of Kerr Banno, Taiba, Panneh Ba, Torro Bo, Torro Tayam, Tawacaltou, Tallen Fula, Tallen Wollof, Chargen and Kerr Ardo all located in Lower Badibu district of the North bank Region.

- Fencing materials for the central nursery and for the 10 villages were procured and distributed. Each village fenced its project site of about 1 hectare in size. In August, 13, 678 seedlings were provided to each of the 10 villages;

- A training session for 500 participants (50 participants from each village) on nursery management was conducted at the Skill Training Centre for members of all 10 communities with practical sessions of poly pot filling techniques, seed selection, sowing techniques, care of young seedlings and transplanting techniques in the field.

- At the conclusion of the first training session held at the skills centre, a step-down-training session was organised targeting 1, 000 farmers in the 10 project communities. Those trained would in turn others on the skill acquired and so help spread the good practices and innovations being promoted in the area.

- 175 men, 273 females and 152 youth received training on environmental management, ecological farming practices including agroforestry and land husbandry practices. In turn, these beneficiaries of the training packages are expected to in turn other village members in their commynities so that that issues of land degrdatation could be addressed.

- A terminal project evaluation conducted at the end of the project indicated than there was a survival rate of about 93% attributed to the care provided by the beneficiary communities mainly in the form of secured fencing of the sites.
