“Community Afforestation and Environmental Management Project (CAEMP)”.
To eradicate poverty through sound natural resources management thus enhancing food security and environmental promotion for sustainable livelihood. The project will specifically aim to promote agro-forestry in the North Bank Region which will reduce desertification and increase farm production in a sustainable manner. The use of improved cooking stoves will be promoted as an effective means of reducing deforestation and combating land degradation. Food production through improved farm practices using soil and water conservation techniques will also be promoted. Finally, tree planting will be promoted as an effective means of combating land degradation in the area.
