Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Conservation of tank forest reserves and rehabilitation of tanks would minimize the water scarcity. This would enable the farmers to cultivate in the dry seasons. Traditional rice varieties will be promoted among the farmers which would be a sustainable income source.Traditional rice marketing program will be initiated. Traditional handicraft production from reed will be promoted for women as a sustainable livelihood. Two organic fertilizer production units will be established based on the youth entrepreneurship
