Capacity development of the grantee was raised, as consultations of the experts on biodiversity, design, building&construction, and many others were provided during project realization.
Enspired by creation of the Museum in Balykchy several COMDEKS projects also created eco-touristic demonstration areas in their locations. These proejcs are: Kara-Oi dendrological park, Bee-farm in Ak-dobo village and others.

Museum will play important role in development of the tourism in Balykchy town, as it will be attended by people, who travel via Balykchy (as transit point).

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
The project had significant information component. Information campaign was organized in different villages and towns of the Issyk-Kul rpovince, schoolteachers and Issyk-Kul State university was informed about educationasl oportunities and possibilities to organize study visits. Open ceremony was organized in October 2015. News were widely published in mass media.
Project sustainability
The project is sustainable, as after completion of works it was handed over to the balance of the General dirictorate of the Issyk-Kul biosphere territory.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
Video about museum was created and videly distributed among eco;ogical organizations and mass-media. A special page was also created on Facebook.
Gender Focus
Women and men were equally involved in project activities, taking part in creation of the museums' exposition as experts, consultants, workers, trainers, etc.
Notable Community Participation
Yoth was closely involved into this project. Young people took part in creation of the museum's expositions. Wide information campaign was organized for schoolchildren (schools in Issyk-Kul province).

Project Results
1. The Project Management committee is established, which includes representatives of the Public Association ?Soyuz photojurnalistov", representatives of GEF SGP, employees of the Issyk-Kul State Reserve, Directorate of biosphere reserve ?Issyk-Kol?, activists from local population, representatives of local government. .
2. Materials purchased and carried out basic reconstruction work on the repair of the building of the museum - laying tile in the main hall on the second floor, plaster and whitewash the walls and ceiling, a partial restoration of electrical wiring and lighting.
3. Carried out decorating works on registration of the main halls of the museum in the form of "parade of ecosystems" of Issyk Kul, beginning from a water ecosystem of the lake and to the snow tops which are a habitat of a snow leopard.
4. Create an exposition devoted to the snow leopard on the basis of local lore museum.
5. Implemented development of thematic exhibitions stands under the cross-project initiatives of the GEF SGP in Kyrgyzstan on COMDEKS program.
6. Thematic photo exhibitions in halls and ladder flights of the museum are organized.
7. Implemented the restoration of the exhibits from the old museum in the village of Ananyevo Ananjevo and made new ones, carried out their transportation to the town of Balykchy (under the co-financing of SAFNP).
8. The financial scheme of functioning of the museum is developed (tickets, staff, etc.).
9. State Agency decided to allocate staff guide unit for the operation of the museum.
10. For a group of teachers of Balykchy and staff of biosphere territory "Issyk-Kul" held training on the organization of excursions on the basis of the museum.
11. To organize carrying out of visiting sessions of the museum in the village and the cities of Issyk-Kul region.
12. Video is prepared about the Balykchy museum.
13. The opening ceremony of the museum with participation of journalists is carried out, results of the project are covered in media.
