NWFP Product Development and Sustainable Management of Wangphu Choeling Community Forest
Wangphu Choeling Community Forest under Yabrang Chiwog. Community Forest Management Groups comprises of Yabrang and Phuensum village. The Groups consist of 99 members. The site is located 32 km away from Trashigang. Phongmey Gewog area sprawl about 99 Sq Km. The Phongmey Gewog Consist of Five Chiwog consist of 661 with the population of 4575. Yabrang village, PhongmeyGewog, Tashigang is located in east of Bhutan. The village has a well-established community forests group and one of the key non-wood forest products from the community forests is Illicium griffithii.
