Project goal ? Creation of conditions for increasing greenhouse film volumes collection and shipment for further recycling in Stolin

Project tasks:

1) To improve infrastructure, created for arrangement of used greenhouse film collection;
2) To organize an information campaign in the eastern part of the Stolin District, didicated to the following aspects:
- influence of persistent organic pollutants on environment and health of people;
- building of understanding of the importance of waste materials collection and recycling arrangemnet;
3) To organize the collection of used greenhouse film in the eastern part of the Stolin district;


Expected long term results:

1) Improved infrastructure created for arrangement of used greenhouse film collection;
2) 5,000 villagers of Stolin district informed about environmental problems arising from environmental contamination by persistent organic substances, as well as arrangement of used greenhouse film collection;
3) During the project at least 100 tons of plastic films were collected and shipped for further recycling;
4) 20% reduction of pollution with polyethylene film;
5) increased the financial stability of the enterprise involved in the collection of used film.
