Project goal ? To summarize the 4 years? experience of SGP in Belarus and elaborate recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the activities of Belarus SCOs in the priorities of the Republic of Belarus and the GEF SGP for the period until 2018.
Project tasks:

1. To summarize the 4-year experience in implementing local initiatives supported by the GEF SGP in Belarus;
2. To provide a broad discussion of the results of the GEF SGP projects;
3. To elaborate and disseminate information on the experiences of GEF SGP in Belarus and recommendations for the implementation of local initiatives in the priorities of the GEF SGP in Belarus for the period until 2018.
Expected long term results:
1. The 4-year experience in implementing local initiatives supported by the GEF SGP in Belarus during GEF OP 5 is summarized;
2. Broad discussion of the results of the GEF SGP projects is provided during the Conference;
3. Information on the experience, results, lessons learned and impact on the environment during GEF OP 5 in Belarus as well as recommendations for the implementation of local initiatives in the priorities of the GEF SGP in Belarus for the period until 2018 are published and disseminated among SCOs and the Government authorities in all the districts of Belarus.
