Capacity - Building Component
Project allowed to raise capacity of the NGOs and pond-keepers of Issyk-Kul province about new approached in fish breeding sector. Scienticis consultations were provided by experts from National Academy of sciences.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
Project meterials (poster about fish diversity of the Issyk-Kul lake) were issued both in Russian and Kyrgyz languages, short participatory video was developed (in cooperation with Foundation for biodiversity conservation). Eco-exhibition about fish diversity of Issyk-Kul lake was created in the Museum of Balykchy town.

The project inspired many organizations in the country, and several fish farm with use of the reneable energy sources are planned to be created in the south of Kyrgyzstan.

Project Results
1. Project management committee (PMC) was established, which includes representatives of the Public Association ?Issyk-Kul pond", representatives of the Institute of Biology of the National Academy of Sciences, Biological Station staff and others.
2. The equipment of RES - solar collectors to heat water to the optimum temperature 18 °C, required for the reproduction of fish, and also the solar panels ensuring the smooth operation of the pump necessary for circulation of water in system, and also the aerator is acquired (provides air saturation with oxygen).
3. On the basis of museum of local lore in Balykchy initiated creation of the exposition devoted to the Issyk-Kul water world and its fishes.
4. Construction of a nursery pond is complete. The fish-trap is built and construction of a dam in a place of already constructed "monk" and the pipe made of trays for a water outlet is completed.
5. The exacting stocking pond is expanded and one more stocking pond constructed next to it.
6. Construction materials are acquired and concrete basins for reproduction and the maintenance of fish are built.

8. Necessary equipment purchased for the organization of the process of reproduction of the fish.
9. The assistance in restoring partial fencing of the area to ensure the safety and conditions of carrying out experiment is rendered.
10. Stimulators for artificial reproduction of fish, a forage, medicines are acquired.
11. According to special permission catching of uterine fish of the naked osman for reproduction of this endemic species is organized. Also purchased carp polyculture. Experiment on reproduction of fish is organized.
12. On the basis of the village of Lipenka the exposition, devoted to the water world and fishes of Issyk Kul, and also a condition for reception of tourists (ecotourism) ? banners and an observation aquarium is created.
13. The Regional Workshop on Sustainable Fisheries in Issyk-Kul is organized (in agreement with NSC ? instead of a festival of fish). Organized by the (in with the NOC - the festival instead of fish).
14. Information campaign is carried out, results of the project are widespread in mass media.
