Building Capacity of SALCC to Integrate Community Based Action Research into Programmes that Strengthen the Capacity of CSOs while Adopting and Implementing Practices that Minimize their contribution to global warming.
This project will establish Saint Lucia's first research and innovation institute dedicated to among other goals to establish a mechanism for the sustainable capacity development of CSOs in Saint Lucia. The project objectives are to: (i) establish an effective and an efficient system for sustainable research and innovation at the SALCC within six months; (ii) design and establish a capacity development programme for CSOs which will enhance their skills in organizational development and project implementation and management; (iii) begin the process of establishing strong links with communities which will address sustainable development challenges and generate benefits; and (v) distil the lessons from the project which will serve as the basis for future development of the Institute for Research and Innovation.
