Community seed banks
The seeds that are collected, manually cleaned, dried and stored by local residents and the CBO members fall short of quality standards. Therefore, the project will establish a ?Citizen-based seed fund? to teach the CBO members and local citizens working in the area of nature protection how to collect and store seeds properly, and raise their awareness of the importance of protecting biodiversity. The project will also equip the CBO members and local residents with comprehensive knowledge of plant seeds, and establish a stock of seeds of vegetables, plants, trees and bushes.
