“MODERNIZATION OF THE BOILER IN THE CHILDREN REHABILITATION CENTER” BIRD "USING SOLAR ENERGY FOR POWER AND HOT WATER GENERATION”
Project goal ? Greenhouse gases and pollutants reduction into the atmosphere from boiler in the Children's Center "Ptich by reducing the consumption of local types of fuel and reducing electricity consumption.
Project tasks:
1. Purchasing and installation of a)100 solar hybrid PVT panels on the roof of boiler house of rehabilitation center "Ptich" with a total area of about 200 square meters, b) the buffer storage tank thermal energy capacity of 15 + 15 = 30,0m³ for the preparation of hot water and electricity. The installation will produce about 60 thousand. KWh of electricity per year and about 150 Gcal. hot water.
2. Development of Children's Centre as a demonstration zone of alternative energy from renewable energy source
3. Information disseminationonof project results and experiences with the purpose of introduction LED lighting in other settlements of district.
Expected long term results:
1. Reduction of annual fuel consumption by an average of 45 tons of fuel equivalent, representing 7% of the total consumption of fuel boiler Children's Center. CO2 emissions will be reduced by at least 36 tons per year;
2. The use of solar energy will help to redirect the saved funds (on average $ 20,000 per year) to develop the material-technical base of Children Reabilitation Centre;
3. Replication of experience among government and social institutions of the Republic of Belarus;
4. About 4,000 children will be informed annually about the use of a solar installation as a renewable energy source.
