Solar PV energy for rural health centers
Rural health centers suffer a non reliable supply of electricity and hot water. In a recent study/survey carried out by USAID, more than 50% of health ceters had problems either with electricity or hot water.
This project will demonstrate a ?solar minimum package? that is needed for providing sanitary hot water and emmergency backup electricity supply for critical services at these centers such as lighting and refrigeration.
Following a list provided bu the Ministry of Health, the project will be implemented in three health centers namely, Fierza, Peshkopia and Orosh. Each center provides services to approximately 3,000 to 4,000 inhabitants.
