Water, Waste and Climate Change
?Water, Waste and Climate Change.?
Through this project, Lebanon Eco Movement will train its network of 60 adherent NGOs spread all over Lebanon to become future trainers of their local communities and to advocate on the local government level to promote sustainable ways of managing wastes and water, as well as conduct awareness sessions on the same topic for local stakeholders and local communities. Furthermore, these trained NGOs will develop a local observatory for waste and water related problems.
At the end of which local communities will have received all necessary information, trainings and contacts to switch to a sustainable way of living, especially in their waste and water management, plus the establishment of a local observatory, in the local LEM NGO, to receive all their complaints and give any necessary advices they might request.
The project will be divided into the following time frames:
After choosing the best solutions to adopt and the appropriate villages and locations in coordination with LEM local NGOs, the implementation phase, which is the most important part of the project, will be comprised of 180 awareness and training sessions and potential advocacy roundtables with local decision makers (2 different sessions, one about water the other about waste, given independently to 3 different groups in 30 different areas related to the 30 NGOs that will be involved in the project).
