Installation of the alternative energy sources in the settlements of internally displaced people in Lugansk region
Installation of the alternative energy sources in the settlements of internally displaced people in Lugansk region
The main goal of the project is to promote the potential of alternative solar energy. A range of factors affect environmental situation in the area, gradually accelerating global warming and level of pollution. One of the reasons is unawareness of local residence and inefficient approach to electricity usage as well as huge gas emissions from nuclear power stations. Installation of solar panels facilitate decrease of utilization of traditional energy sources and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. The project achieves its objectives through implementation of the following activities: - to familiarize with households in Luhansk region; - to hold consultations with experts in solar energy area; - to monitor and identify vendors; - to purchase and install solar panels. All of these activities are implemented along with the information campaign for local residents concerning climate change issues and use of solar energy.
