The overall objective of the project is to enhance the production of seedlings geared to the densification of the yards and the reforestation of degraded areas in the Apinajé territory. It also aims to raise awareness and discuss with indigenous the mechanisms used by municipalities for the application of the ICMS-Ecologico.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
As communication strategy were provided two training courses on the ICMS-Ecological with the indigenous, and was prepared the "Guidance Manual for Indigenous People Apinajé" to be distributed in the villages.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
The project aims to raise awareness and to discuss with the Indians tax distribution mechanism called ICMS-Ecológico, which focuses on cities where there are indigenous lands and protected areas. This training process enables a greater understanding of the responsibilities of municipal power and dialogue opportunities and partnership with municipalities for the implementation of the proceeds from the tax.
