Project was completed. The program gave positive impact to local fishermen to increase the conservation of coral reef within their surrounding. The increased awareness also followed the training and intensive dialog in community organizing process further strengthen the local community capacity and human resource. The current knowledge and capacity building have increased the local community organization (CBOs) managmement and organization. Hence, it creates better income generating for local farmerthrough eco-tourism, with the founding of koperasi (local financial unit) which provided the simple fishermen equipment needed for the fishermen. The organization (JKSMP) and local organization increased their networking capacity, as well as become the pioneer in eco-tourism network.
Obstacles: fishermen schedule to work that affected the program meetings; the unfriendly weather that delay the process; the holly fasting month; political situation that decreased the tourism sector; facilitator capacity to manage time; minimum credibility of the organizing team.
