The project aims to develop the GEF SGP Country Programme Strategy (CPS) for OP6 (2015-2018). The CPS is aligned to support the creation of environmental benefits and the preservation of the global environment through community solutions. This strategy will have considerable impact because it will improve efficiency, effectiveness and transparency in the allocation of GEF SGP funds, based on the global and national environmental priorities, while catalyzing creation of synergies and opportunities for program expansion.

Several activities will be carried out, to include analysis of results and present achievements for the GEF SGP, consultations with various governmental and non-governmental organizations, data gathering and analyses, which will results in identification of landscapes and seascapes. A baseline diagnosis will be also carried out on the identified landscapes and seascapes, including priorities and project typologies. Finally a CPS document will be drafted considering the consultation, landscapes and seascapes priorities and stakeholders identified.
