The project on promotion of sustainable livelihood of indigenous groups and forest conservation through solar battery charging station and savings group will be implemented with Sereimongkonl CF in Konmom district under FA and a Veal Kambor CPA in Lumphat district under provincial Department of Environment (DoE), both are in Ratanakiri province.
The Sereymongkol CF has met requirements under the forestry law in accordance with MAFF?s Prakas No. 493 PK.KSK dated 10th October 2014 on Designation and Management of Forest Asset in Ratanakiri on 26th March 2015.
Veal Kambor CPA in Chey Uddom commune, Lumphat district has been facilitated by Ratanakiri provincial DoE and Birdlife since January 2015 with 407 HHs to manage 3003.75 ha forest land. The community is being facilitated to develop an CPA agreement and a management plan with MoE through support provided by DoE and Birdlife.
Goal: To reduce deforestation and forest degradation in the communities through development of management

21 management committee members, at least 21 women from CPA and 21 management committee, at least 7 women, have understanding of the community based REDD+ programme and participated in protection of forest and in REDD+ project implementation.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Improved rice farming technologies and techniques are introduced to 15 model farmers with the wet season rice yield attained from 1.5 to 2 tonnes per ha and 2 to 3 tonnes per ha for Veal Kambor CPA and Sereymongkol CF respectively.
