Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
In order to inform the community display boards were erected in the project area at the beginning of the project. In addition news paper discussions were held once in every two months.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
Introduction of the alternative energy technique of drying fish as opposed to the traditional method allows the beneficiaries to learn and engage in more environmentally sound practices. The aim of the project is to create a showcase and lessons learnt for similar fisher women in the island to use the invented technology.
