This CBO is awarded a planning grant of US$5000 to assist with community consultations that will assist with developing the full proposal. The organisation is based on Nissan Island, Autonomous Region of Bougainville and has identified that marine area where it proposes to conduct its community adaptation and marine conservation project. The initiative will contribute to addressing the threat to local marine biodiversity and adverse effects of climate change on island coastlines and the peoples livelihood. The project will look at establishing a mini ridge to reef sanctuary and also conducting awareness to promote biodiversity conservation with the aim of improving community livelihoods.
