Tamarua village packing shed & water catchment in Mangaia
Tamarua Oire wishes to assess the structural integrity of their packing hall and water catchment concrete tanks and to be issued an engineers certificate as required by Infrastructure Cook Islands before remedial work is commenced on those two structures mentioned. The engineering work is to be contracted to Rarotonga based Tepu-Uri Consulting Ltd. Based on the engineers report, ICI will then issue a building permit.
This planning grant will enable the Tamarua Oire community to realise their dream of renovating their Hall and at the same time providing a large roof catchment area for water runoff into a holding tank to provide consistent and clean water for the village.
