Empowering Barbadian Communities to Go Green Through Local Organic Products
The project goal is to empower Barbadians to live healthier lifestyles through the development and use of environmentally friendly household and gardening products. Its objective is to
1. To bring awareness to at least 500 persons across various communities on the island about the use of organically make skin care, household and gardening alternatives and their benefits to health and wellness by 30 December, 2016.
2. To produce and make available a full range of organic, skin care, household and gardening alternatives and to motivate at least 500 persons within communities across Barbados to use the full range of products. This would be done by 30 December 2016.

Project Characteristics and Results
Gender Focus
Both men and women will be provide equal opportunities. Men will be involved in the labour, primarily the manufacturing, marketing and delivery of products while women would be involved in the labour such as secretarial, manufacturing and marketing.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Employment will be increased and training conducted for those new persons. With the increased employment the institutional capacity would be strengthened.
