Bee keeping for community forestry practitioners as an alternative livelihood enhancement option
The project will select CBOs wishing to practice beekeeping after evaluation, conduct field trainings for them, provide basic beekeeping knowledge, as well as separate and breed a certain number of bees from a larger family to transfer them consequently to the new CBO together with relevant documents. The project will prepare 280 beehives and breed 140 small bee families to be separated from the larger family. Local beekeeping will be strengthened with the addition of new beehives and capacity building to increase product yield and improve honey packaging.
