Establishment of Knowledge center of sustainable development practices in Ukraine
Establishment of Knowledge center of sustainable development practices in Ukraine
Due to the limited public awareness on Rio Conventions and sustainable development practices in Ukraine on regional and local levels, the project?s aim was to establish the Knowledge center of sustainable development practices. Center ensures achievement of the following tasks: information campaign to help local communities implement best practices of Education for Sustainable Development; development of demonstration models to promote Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among local communities; practical activities to help recover ecosystems of the region and preserve biodiversity.
The expected outcomes include both scientific and research area (i.e. database maintenance, conduct of trainings and round table discussions, library establishment) and implementation of demonstration projects (implementation of organic farming model, "green office" practices, installation of eco-friendly and energy-efficient equipment etc.)
