Enhancing Ecosystems Services through Land Restoration:Community based Rangeland Restoration and Empowerment
1. Restoration of eroding areas vulnerable to erosion:installation of gully and sheet erosion interventions.
2. Controlling the invasion of alien invasive plants(black & silver wattle; grey poplar
3. Improvement of existing rotational rest grazing plan with the MLA for all livestock in community (Mafube & Belford sites), including seasonal installation of firebreaks.
4. Rangeland condition monitoring skills will be transferred to the local community members over the duration of the project to increase the long term impact of the interventions
