The project has achieved the following results:
? One (01) learning group on ICCA (VN ICCA LG) was established with 07 members from 06 organizations including: PanNature, CSDM, FFI, FORWET, DONC & BCA. 01 terms of the reference for members and organizations involved.
? 9 trainings (3 seminars and 6 webinar sessions) were conducted by the ICCA team.
? Six presentations at two international conferences (over 200 participants), two national workshops (with about 100 participants); 7 grassroots workshops (180 participants), 1 internal workshop of PanNature (26 staff members): the content focused on ICCA role for biodiversity conservation and traditional culture of ethnic minorities, egal bases and ICCA related regulations in the revised Law on Forest Protection and Development.
? A Report was developed on Overview about voluntary community participation models in forest management in Vietnam.
? 01 Data file about forest area allocated to community of 24 provinces in the country was synthesized and processed.
? 03 Provincial consultation workshops were held in the North West including Son La, Lai Chau and Lao Cai on the topic of community-based forest management by traditional knowledge and culture.
? 03 Community forest management models were implemented in 03 villages: Pa Cop village (Van Ho commune, Van Ho district, Son La), Chù Lìn village (Ho Thau commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau Province) and Den Sang hamlet (Den Sang commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai Province)
? Professional contribution to organizing 10 consultation meetings for the Draft Law on Forest Protection and Development with the content related to tenure rights of communities and the development of traditional knowledge and culture in forest management.
? 02 contribution comments were sent to leading agency responsible for drafting the revised Law on Forest Protection and Development (MARD), the Government Office, the National Assembly Committee on Science, Technology and Environment and the National Assembly's Ethnic Minority Council on the content of community-level conservation area and forest tenure.
