Building the capacity of CSOs in the landscape/seascape conservation
Building the capacity of CSOs in the landscape/seascape conservation
Landscapes/seascapes have provided many environmental goods and services to the communities living within and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Over the course of many decades, these services have been put under severe stress greatly lowering their capacity to deliver. Communities recognize this factor and have come to the realization that their way of life is under threat if they continue ?business as usual. It is against this premise that the SEPL conservation approach is introduced. The Concept is a however fairly new and a greater portion of the beneficiaries have limited knowledge and skills in engaging in this approach. It is against this background that this project seeks to build the capacity of CSOs on the landscape/seascape conservation approach which will be promoted across the country and specifically targeting the priority landscapes and seascapes for OP 6 implementation.
