Main goals of the project were achieved:
1. Awareness of the community about the problem of global climate change and the use of renewable alternative sources of energy was raised.
2. Reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and mitigating the consequences of global warming were promoted.
3. A series of informational and educational campaigns on the use of solar energy was conducted.

In particular, project results include:
- 125 lightnings with LED lamps were installed in the village of Vyrvy, Zhytomyr region, which allowed to reduce the use of electricity by three times, to save 28,800,000 W annually, and to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 37,479 kg.
- Project representatives participated in the organization of the National Forum "Waste Management in Ukraine: legislation, economics, technology", held November 22-23, 2016, aimed at identifying problems and perspectives in Ukraine for the Strategy for the management of hazardous waste, implementation environmental initiatives, promotion of investments and innovations, implementation of environmentally friendly, resource- and energy-efficient technologies, etc.
- Project representatives participated the organization of the Extended Workshop from the GEF, held n March 2017 in Lviv. The program of the seminar included the prospects for the "green" economy, the role of partnerships in programming and implementation of initiatives, new methods for knowledge dissemination and awareness raising, etc.
- Project representatives participated in the Monitoring visit to the Steppe landscape of the Small Grants Program on May 18-20, 2017. During the event, monitoring of current UNDP/GEF SGP projects took place, a platform for the dissemination of best practices, innovative technologies and experience in capacity building, promotion of CSO participation in development national environmental policy, ensuring sustainability of projects and mobilization of additional resources for sustainable community development was organized.
- The All-Ukrainian Environmental Newspaper "Development and Environment" No.3 (47), March 2017, was prepared, produced and distributed among the community.
- Also an information memo on the necessity and importance of reducing the load on the energy infrastructure, reducing gas emissions and the opportunity for the community to save costs on electricity bills was developed, produced and distributed during public events.
