Biodiversity conservation on steppe landscape with granite extractions
The main project goal is to promote steppe landscapes protection in Zaporizhya region to develop the rural and cycling tourism as well as to involve community to their establishing.
To accomplish the project goals, the following tasks were to be done:
- to develop a cycling route in Zaporizhya region called "Melitopol - Stone graves" involving the estates of green tourism in the area of steppe landscapes in Zaporizhya region;
- to arrange a cycling route in Zaporizhya region called "Melitopol - Stone graves" including the possibility to use the bike transport by people with special needs;
- to promote the natural values of steppe landscapes in Zaporizhya region and facilitate the development of agroecology as well as the green and cycling tourism;
- to conduct an information campaign of the project, including seminars for farms owners, village heads, to create a special website to support route development and maps dissemination, etc.

Project sustainability
Bicycle routes that were developed during realization of the project were authorized by local authorities and included to the list of tourist destinations of the district. Local residents trained through the project are able to share their experience with other community members in order to involve more people to develop green tourism.

Gender equality is a part of project policy and all parties participate in project activities on equal base and benefit from project results. In addition the project is implemented by a woman.
