Control of the rabies Epizootic in Namibian Kudu *Note: Originally NAM/SGP/OP6/Y2/CORE/BD/2016/12
This is a biodiversity conservation project that wants to build on the previously successful trials conducted and demonstrated the results to make the adoption of practices widespread in the regions with a target of rolling out in the Kavango.

The project aims to improve the understanding of the epidemiology of disease among kudus by investigating the possibility of natural immunity to rabies and to prove the possibility of horizontal transmission of it. It will also evaluate an anti-rabies vaccine and bait suitable for the effective oral immunization of kudu against rabies.
