To date:
Sixteen persons were trained in scuba diving. Thus far, thirteen persons have received PADI certification.
Three members? official certifications are pending.
Approximately 20 students participated in the ?Marine species & coastal and marine ecosystem:
introductory session?.
A diverse set of sand dune species were identified were sea grapes, seaside yam, seashore dropseed,
seaside bean, fatpork, saltweed, seaside spurge, mild trees. However due to planting site and plant
characteristics.
However only two species (sea grapes, seaside yam) were planted due to location specified for planting, species characteristics etc. Approximately 200 species were to be planted but only 84 were provided.
Participated in the National Green Knowledge Fair held on 3-4 November 2017? over 60 persons were
sensitised in coral reef conservation.
Twelve students were trained in reef monitoring (seven dived while 5 snorkelled) based on the Reef Check.
Students participated in a reef monitoring exercise at the Bellairs North Fringing Reef. Only one transect was completed. Transects 2, 3 and 4 were not completed due to time and other factors beyond their control.
Students participated in the second reef monitoring exercise at the Bellairs South Fringing Reef (Five dived while five snorkelled). Two transects were completed by the dive team and one transect was completed by the snorkel team on an adjacent reef spur.

Engaged Hightide Water sports and the Coral Reef Restoration Alliance (CORALL).
Hightide Water Sports facilitated rental of dive gear and boat for this third dive November 4th 2018. CORALL represented by Renata Goodridge facilitated the on-going monitoring at the South Sandy Lane Patch Reef.
One reef monitoring exercise was conducted at Sandy Lane South Patch Reef
Two transects were completed by the dive team.
10 students gained practical experience in reef monitoring on the third dive.
Approximately 120 plants (two plant species were fat pork and sea grapes) were replanted.

12 members of the Seven Day Adventist Speighstown Community group (SDA)(green T- shirts) participated in the planting of the species.
14 students gained an appreciation for the natural heritage conservation
